Sunday, November 13th, 2011 Race 3 of 3.
The final race day is completed at Panama Beach
Raceway, and the BC4 Car Club Challenge rolls to the
finish line for 2011. With this being race three,
there was a lot of fast and beautiful machines
present and more stiff competition from Outlaws Car
Club, Florida Mopars, Bay Mustang Club and Tricked
Out Car Club.
Every club did their best and had a lot of fun
through this annual race series and Danny Day once
again looking sharp right to the very end in his
1951 Mercury. Even with his help, Outlaws was not
able to pull the win off, sure looked good trying.
Florida Mopars had the last car standing, so they
won this third race with some Mopar power. Dana
Wilson was pulling strong and finished second for
the day. Robert Beck had Red Light issues which
dropped Outlaws to third place for the year. (We had
to say it, Robert. :)
Tricked Out Car Club was the operator/organizers for
this event, and they worked hard to provide a fast &
fun track time for all, and they ran hard, too. With
them holding the leaderboard points lead all year,
TOCC is the 2011 Car Club Challenge Winner!

There was no Quick 8 this time, as there were many more racers present and we wanted to finish up at 5:00pm, which we did.
I would like to Congratulate all the racers of the
day. Everyone is winners for trying, and you made
the event a winner, too. It was a lot of fun doing
it and a lot of excitement for all.
After some quick debate over trophies or charities
for the buy back money, it was once again decided to
donate it to the Boys & Girls Club of Bay County.
TOCC sent a check for 190.00 to them on behalf of
all participating clubs. This was for race #2 & 3
buybacks.
We will be back in 2012 with this race series, and
we hope to have all present, with some new machines
and new clubs there as well. Please contact us if
your club is not in the BC4, but would like to
participate. The rules used for the operations of

Sunday, October 16th, 2011 Race 2 of 3.
With another race day complete at Panama Beach Raceway, the BC4 Car Club Challenge creeps closer to completion for 2011. For this second race day, we added in competition from Renegade Car Club and Florida Mopars, along with the three clubs from the first race; Bay Mustang Club, Outlaws Car Club, and Tricked Out Car Club.
Every club brought some serious performers, with Tricked Out Car Club stepping things up greatly from the first event, but still not enough to pull the win from Danny Day, in his 1951 Mercury, our first place winner! Even with some mechanical issues jumping up, his pit crew had Danny ready run, and run, and run... right to the very end!
With Danny day behind the wheel of his 1951 Mercury, Outlaws Car Club carried home the Club Challenge win... and the Quick 8, which was dropped to a Quick 6 with several of the top contenders already gone, or with broken machines. It was a fast-paced event, with some breakage, and lots of excitement right to the end.
Once again, Tricked Out Car Club was the operator/organizers for this event, and they brought some fast cars & trucks that ran hard and fast to carry home the most points for day, just as with the first race. That means they continue to hold the leaderboard points for the year, however, with the final race still around the corner, it is anyone's win for 2011, and TOCC is not sitting easy with such stiff competition chasing after! Stay tuned!!

A really big Congratulations to all the racers of the day. You all are winners and you made the event happen. It was a lot of fun, and the weather ended up giving us a nice break with an overcast and a breeze! Talk about good stuff!
It was decided once again to donate the $45.00 from the buybacks to the Boys & Girls Club of Bay County by those clubs that raced, and Freeport Cruisers gave $20.00 after the event to raise the total donation to $65.00.
For those looking to take part in the final race of this series, it will be held on Sunday, November 13th, 2011. Gates open at 12:00 pm, racing starting soon after 1:00pm, with the club challenge wrapping up around 6:00 pm. $20.00 to run, $10.00 spectators.

Sunday, June 5th 2011 - Race 1 of 3.
Today was another excellent day spent at Panama Beach Raceway. With this being the first race day for the annual event, Bay Mustang Club was ready to defend their title with a great group of racers revved up for the event. Their driver, Tyler Doin, powered home his 1985 Mustang for the first place win of the challenge!
Outlaws Car Club's driver, Dana Wilson, walked his 1970 Chevelle down the lanes like a true professional and ended up in first place for the Quick 8. What a stunning car.
Tricked Out Car Club was the operating club for this event and brought several vehicles to run as well. They are the points leader...for now. They also finished in the top three, and brought strong competition right to the end.

Well, besides all of the track fun, we raised $35.00 from the buybacks. After a suggestion to give it to Boys & Girls Club, it was unanimously voted in by those present.
Thanks to Panama Beach Raceway and all of the fine folks that run it for us, and thanks to everyone that attended today!

Track Fun
The clubs within the BC4 enjoy rolling to shows and events, and up to the local dragway for some friendly "horsepower comparisons."
With 2012 off to a strong start, Bay County's dragstrip has a new name and website! Visit Panama City Dragway for complete track info.
